Gamertag taken away because of someone whose rubbish at gaming reporting it.

Xbox live. My gamer tag which I've had for 7 years has been changed. If it makes it through the profanity checker surely you should use some discretion when someone reports it to you. I'm not happy about this at all. I pay every year and have enjoyed gaming
on Xbox and nobody has ever had anything bad to say about me. I'm not offending Islam or any other religious regime. I want my name back please.

do you thik they could build away of saying whos host into the game?? like beside the gamertag on the scoreboard it would say (H)

Sorry to see any frustrations with not getting your account back. The release that happened did not release every old gamertag, only a small subset of those. You can see more about that on our

blog post about it.

We had sent this up to the right people to investigate, and it appears that a suspension is involved with the account. We are unable to assist with those, and suggest that you reach out to the Enforcement team directly by filing a
Case Review on their site. They should be able to assist further. Thanks for understanding!

For information about your gamertag change and to see about submitting a case review, you would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com It doesn't matter how long you've had a gamertag, it just took that long
for someone to report it and the enforcement team to take action. It doesn't have to be profanity which is why a profanity checker wouldn't work. If it's a violation of the code of conduct (which you agreed to) it can be changed at any time.

It's complete rubbish is what it is. Can't believe they've taken away a feature that I freakin pay for.

If Xbox Live says that the gamertag is in use, someone has it with the same letters, numbers and capitalization. If you checked on an unofficial gamertag checker the software may have not taken the capitalization properly or taken away the spaces.

It can take time for the enforcement team to investigate. Just because they haven't yet doesn't mean they won't.

You also should not post the tags here.

It has been over 21 days since the gamertags were reported and still NOTHING has been done.

Patience dude, there are thousands of reports being thrown everyday. Why don't you just play games and wait for them to do the job

Sorry, it just seems really funny how a report against someone who never even used profanity in their message, nor did anything that broke the rules can get suspended, but not people whose gamertags are a blatant disregard to the rules.
