    Gamertag suddenly changed while I was away from my console (it didn't include profanity)...


    My username had no profanity of any sort, and has suddenly been changed to something about a dog. I tried to change it on the console and was given an error message, and when I try to change it on the website or app it tells me that the service was unavailable.
    I wanted to talk to someone who could help via the Xbox service line, but it seems to be down right now. Please help, this is a huge headache.

    My gamertag got change and it wasn't even bad

    I Shouldn't have to spend any money to change something Xbox did. When i'm playing an M rated game like call of duty or something where people are screaming Out *** this and *** that and I have G spot in my gamertag and suddenly its profanity... I understand
    if they give me the ability to change it for free then i woudn't care to change it but it's straight up retarted that I need to pay money to change a gamertag that doesn't have any thing wrong with it. I've been supporting xbox since the original and had this
    HIGH PROFANITY GAMERTAG for a long time and suddenly now it's a problem. All I get are laughs from players.

    But it WAS included in my gamerscore on the 360. Ever since Xbox One release day. It just suddenly wasn't after I changed my gamertag today.

    Hey there, I'm sorry to say unfortunately there is no second chance for that and will need to pay the 800 Microsoft Points transaction to change your gamertag again. Ultimately, in the Code of Conduct it states you're responsible for your account so there's
    no leeway given for this kind of situation.
