    Hello My Name Is Brenton And There Is A Gamertag That's Has Been Inactive Since 2009 The GamerTag Is Sniff And I Been Wanting His GamerTag Since 2011 And When The Reset Came On May 2016 I Was Hoping It Would Have Got Reset But Sadly Not And I Wanted To Know
    If You Guys Could Free Up The GamerTag Sniff I Would Really Really Really Appreciate It A lot I Been Wanting His GamerTag Bad But I Guess He Quit Playing Completely And His GamerTag Could Not Be Taken But Please Free It Up For Me Thanks

    Yet another rewards program question, lol

    It only works if their gamertag is the first one to sign in to a console. If you factory reset your console and have them do that it'll work, but that's a lot of re-installing to do.

    Hi,

    Sorry, Microsoft does not accept requests to release gamertags. You'll just need to wait for the gamertag to be released. They don't tell anyone the date or time they will do such a thing because then people will just sit on a gamertag to sell it or something
    of the sort which is not allowed at all. This way it gives everyone an equal chance to get the gamertag when its' released.

    There is no way to request that a GT be released. A user must now log into their Xbox account ever 5 years to remain active so at some point if the user remains inactive you may be able to get that GT.

    Hi Gamer,

    Unfortunately once a Gamertag is taken it cannot be copied into another account. You may create a similar version for Ex "Killer01 vs K1ller01." and you can use it that way but not the exact same one. Hope this helps.
