    I recommend another reset like 2016 because doing it like this, 'closing' accounts every 2 years only gives the tags to people who sell for profit and claim the tags with auto claimers. Where as the average person isnt going to have a bot set up to claim tags for them whenever they are released or dont have time to check on tags 24/7. It's just important to get tags released at a widespread rate because doing it like this only gives the tags to the people who microsoft is trying to get off the platform. RESET gamertags Again for the actual PLAYERS. This biyearly stuff isnt going to work out how Microsoft thinks it is! 2022 Another Reset!!!

    No it is not possible. At some point they might reset old gametags. However there is not official date for that to happen.

    If this is when you're connecting to Xbox Live, this will be the password for your Live ID email address linked to your Gamertag. To reset it, go to live.com and try logging in, following the steps for "Forgot Password" as needed.

    If they we're planning on resetting old gamer tags sometime in the future, I suggest they do it at random without telling anyone. The last time it was done only a few people knew and the certain few people abused the system to make a profit. Original tags
    due to the rarity and being rare to claim are quite valuable.
