Gamertag problem

Hey guys.

I'm playing on my brother's xbox. He has his account and his gamertag, and I created a new one for me on his console, with a password and a gamertag "Nesiaam".. But a couple of days ago, I suddenly found myself unable to connect to my account. First, it
asks me the password, I enter the password, and then the xbox asks me again to select a profile without giving a *** about the fact that I already entered my password. I select "Nesiaam' again, and this time it no longer asks for the password, but it just
freezes, and I receive the error : "Restart your Xbox, then try again" (0x80070102).

I first tried to change my password (and I did so), but althought on my account and my mails it says that I successfully changed my password, on the xbox, the password hasn't changed at all ! And then I realized that on my xbox profile, my gamertag was no
longer "Nesiaam" but was now "GlobalGorilla95". I assume it's a randomly generated gamertag, and a really bad one with that. It's not funny.

I don't know what to do. I tried to change back to "Nesiaam" but now it says me that this gamertag is already taken (I know ! I took it ! Give it back to me !). So I'm "Nesiaam" on my console and I can't connect, and I'm "GlobalGorilla95" and my xbox account.
The two are connected, because when I selected "I've forgotten my password" on the console to change my password, mails were sent to the mail account related to "GlobalGorilla95".

I'm french, and I don't know where to go to find some help on this matter. I would like to take my gamertag back as well as my savefiles, and I don't know how to do that, or who I need to contact.

I really hope that one of you guys can help me, it's a mystic problem. Thanks for your time and have a nice day.

Gamer profile issue

Problem solved created a new sdult profile and linked it old gamertag. Then changed settings and now can play online!

 

Does anyone have a problem with my Gamertag?

Just curious if the gametag MyKneeGrows82 offends anyone and why? i have been a loyal x-box player for over a decade, and suddenly after thousands of people seeing my gamertag, and not having a problem with it, enforcement changes my gamertag, which by the way does not include any of the things that they say it shouldn't, so am i being singled out as an example? i don't see how showing proudly my race in my gamertag is a problem. Any thoughts on whether or not this should be possible for enforcement to do when the gamertag is in violation of none of the requirements of the enforcement&policies agreement whatsoever.

 

It looks like your Gamertag has been forcibly changed by the Enforcement Team. The Enforcement Team do not frequent these forums, only their website
http://enforcement.xbox.com where you can read about why this might have happened.

As for having the two names, if you remove the profile from your console and sign in again with email address and password it should download the current name and at least every platform will be consistent.

 

Thank you so much, I had no idea that was a thing and I didn't receive any warnings when it happened.

But as you can see on my profile, "GlobalGorilla95" don't have any reputation, level or achievements points. I fear that if I delete "Nesiaam" on my xbox I will lose everything that I've done up until now.

Also, where is the problem with Nesiaam ? oO

It's not offensive, racial, sexual or anything. If I have to pay now to change my gamertag again, that would just be robbery.

 

There aren't typically warnings for forced name changes, they just happen when a name is deemed to break the Code of Conduct, but... I can still see your public profile for the old tag - that isn't normally the case when a GT is changed, there shouldn't
be two profiles.

GlobalGorilla is definitely an auto-generated tag, but it looks like it might be a separate profile. But you said they share the same email address, right? I have no idea why that would be, but I've seen rare cases where people have claimed there are two
Gamertags connected to the same email address. In that case, it would be best to speak with Support - they can see account details and perhaps untangle this whereas we on the forums cannot.

I might be wrong about the original suggestion of a forced name change; instead it might be something more complex...

No, just by changing the URL of profiles on Xbox.com. You can see profiles by clicking on the gamercards on the forum.

For example, GlobalGorilla:
account.xbox.com/Profile

If you were to click mine you get this:
account.xbox.com/Profile

And just by changing the URL I still see your other account:
account.xbox.com/Profile

With a forced name change, the account wouldn't be visible under two names - the old name would disappear, and all your progress, achievements, Gamerscore would be reflected under the new name. So I no longer believe that happened, but that also means I
don't know what actually *did* happen.

I noticed you mentioned the same Microsoft Account may be tied both gamertags, but looking up each profile on Xbox.com shows different accounts. Is there a chance you have a very similar email address for both accounts? We've seen similar scenarios where
a user will have an email such as 'XXXX@outlook.com' and will also 'XXXX@hotmail.com'. Both are Microsoft accounts, but the difference is in the domain with "outlook" and "hotmail".

I recommend trying to sign in with whichever email you normally use, but switch out the domains of the email (such as outlook.com vs hotmail.com).

I really don't get it with the "outlook" and the "hotmail" domains. When I connect myself with the *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***' adress, It's wrighten "outlook" on the top left of the screen. What's happening.

Anyway, thanks for your support, I'm going back on my Nesiaam email adress.
