Gamertag Problem , Cant Unspace Our Gamertags Comes Up With a Error

ok, im starting from scratch and trying to change the default gamertag is a nightmare either on the console or by pc, it constantly comes up saying error occoured, or xbox live cant be reached, which makes no sense as i can download games just not a new
gamertag.

The Error Happens After I Select The “Change Gamertag” Option, It’s Not A Availability Issue As I’m Trying To Unspace/Uncapitalise My Current Gamertag. It Loads For About 2 Seconds After Selecting The “Change Gamertag” Option Then Gives The Message, No Matter The Account I Try To Change Its Current Name On To Another Variation Of The Same Name I Receive The Same Error.

Last Year And Years Before This Issue I Could Change Names Like

(Example Gamertag) To Stuff Like (ExAmPlEgAmErTaG) and it would change no issue.

Now the two variations should not be able to exist but sadly they do.

All you can do is wait for the unspaced version to be released. Which if I read this forum correctly is unlikely to happen any time soon.

This error can occur when a gamertag is being used on Zune. Zune and Xbox use the same gamertag system, hence why it is coming up as taken.

It's recommended you choose another gamertag.

What error does come up when you try to change the name of the gamertag?
