    GamerTag Number?


    I wish to challenge the number behind my Gamer Tag.

    In our human struggles to be unique, I thought mine was, until very recently I learned of a number following my tag.

    I doubt it and wish a revision.

    I highly doubt there were 4,603 others before me.

    I made my tag in the Summer of 2009.

    I checked for both availability and use. My searches came back clear and it was available.

    Was there a bot "buying" up all possible name variants at one time?

    Gamer friends of mine with very unique names also deal with this, although I don't know if they're bothered like me.

    I'm not angry, just annoyed.

    Any ideas?

    Any suggestions besides changing my tag?

    Number on the Gamertag?

    It's called your tenure. It's the number of years you've been a gold member, not necessarily the age of the account.

    Years as a xbox live member, 0 means less than 12 months i think.. 1 means a year like me and you, will go up when the 2nd year is passed :) i believe you need to be a gold member too

    The number doesn't mean there are that amount of other users with the same gamertag, it needs to be 4 to be enough number combinations, but this are not and indication of how many are with the same one

    Some gamertags are unique and can't be found, but for sure if you received a suffix that gamertag has already been used

    No the number is randomly generated

    Also should be noted if the changw gamer tag says it's taken then it's taken and not challengable you just don't understand how the system works

    First and foremost common names are most likely takrn

    This is common sense

    Second it does not matter if you search for a name unless you spend hours on a script to find a name with any infinite number of combinations you will never find the exact combination

    This is why you should only rely on change gamertag which will tell you if it is actually taken

    The reason why is privacy reasons

    You MUST Have the specific variation of the name to find the name

    TylerRebel is the same as tylerrebel or Tyler Rebel among thousands of different combinations
