    Gamertag not changing on all platforms after paying


    I have paid to change my gamertag and its not updating on the xbox app or in games. I spoke with a rep already and they did the troubleshooting steps and they said to wait 24 hrs. Its been over that amount of time. They also said if it still doesn’t change, that I could have another gamertag change for free.

    Having trouble with gamertag

    I went on to the website and it confirms that I did pay for a new gamertag. I changed it to from lAndyHDl and after two days it has still not worked.

    It is on all platforms that the new GT does not show

    I also tried to changed my gamertag myself, but I have to pay ? After 8 years on xbox live, I'm pretty sure I should have a free gamertag change but nope , have to pay! This is all pretty unfair.

    I changed a number in my original offered tag and now I can't change my tag at all

    Certain other platforms don't let you change your gamertag at all.

    You get one free change to change your gamertag from the random tag you are given when you start your account,any other changes have to be paid for.

    If there was no fee then people would be changing their tags all the time plus it pays for the server space that every account uses as well as other things.

    After one use of the change gamertag feature for free you then have to pay 9.99 after for any further gamertag changes. But if you didn't change it try contacting xbox for support
