Gamertag not changed on Xbox One

    Gamertag not changed on Xbox One


    I changed my gamer tag on my new Xbox. It has however not changed. At least not on my Xbox. It did change on the website. Then I performed the reset suggested in another post, and now my gamertag is back on the random one on the website as well. How can
    I fix this and get the tag that I want?

    And now my website profile shows my chosen game tag again... But the xbox still doesn't.

    Gamertag not Changing

    I paid to have my Gamertag changed last night (about 18 hours ago) and my Gamertag still has not changed. Would this be due to my Xbox one power settings set to Instant on?

    Gamertag was changed by itself

    my gamertag changed itself, my gamertag on xbox one console was different on xbox/microsoft website after i change my password in computer

    Gamertag not changed on Xbox One

    Try removing your profile from you console and perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug
    the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational reload your profile and sign in.

    And two days later my gametag change came through without me doing anything. Problem solved Gamertag not changed on Xbox One :)

    Unable to change gamertag

    I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

    My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
    classic gamertag.

    The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
    to that.
