Gamertag not allowed, Support said it's OK from System

Hello, I try to make it short: I want to use my old Gamertag from my 5, 6 years inactive Account. No bans, warnings etc. but it says it is not allowed for whatever reason. The Gamertag I want to use is "Kohliath"

I already talked to Support: I asked if this could be the case becaue I had an old account with the same Name. First they said there is no account bound to my old name, I showed him a screenshot as proof from the "friends search" that there is indeed my old account with this name. Then they said the old account already got deleted so I can use the Gamertag without a problem, also the System allows it, no violation.

Then I tried it but it still said this gamertag is not allowed. He couldn't help me but maybe I have more luck here?

Tell me what you need and I will provide.

Nothing anyone here can do i'm afraid.We're just regular gamers on here & not Microsoft employees.

If the gamertag says it's not allowed then there's no way around that.

Yes I know I showed the support a screenshot of it.

They didn't exactly said there is no e-mail attached to it, they said all the data already deleted, don't ask me what they mean by that but he also said I can use the nickname and also the system itself didn't block it for volation or anything. But when I try it on my own it doesn't work.

So there is no real way to make it possible?

When searching that gamertag I can see that they have one follower & friend, Kohliath - Profile (xbox.com), but they are showing as offline. This may be due to their privacy settings, or the user hasn't signed into their account for a while. None-the-less, the account is still there.

If the Microsoft agent has told you that there isn't an email address connected to the account, then this may be the case. Gamertags are recycled after five years of inactivity. After this period, you should be able to use the gamertag, providing it isn't blocked by the system as it may be offensive or breaks the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct.

Please keep in mind that other services do use the Xbox gamertag which means they could be signing into a different service using their Xbox account/gamertag. This would keep their account in an active state.
