    Gamertag, moving from 360 to One?


    Sorry got a quick noob question. I don't currently own an Xbox One, so my question is what happens when I log onto my gamertag on an Xbox One? Does my achievement history and all that become a clean slate? Because I'd really like to move onto the Xbox One
    with like I said, a clean slate.

    Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

    At the moment if you go to a mates house you can recover your gamertag on their 360, then when you get home you need to recover your gamertag back to your console (unless you use a USB Stick).

    I am wondering how it will work with the xboxone? As I dont want to keep recovering my Gamertag everytime I move from my 360 to the xbox one and back again. Will it let you have your account on both machines at the sametime?

    Has it been stated anywhere how it's going to work if you move to Xbox One & keep your 360 ?

    Will you still be able to log into Live with your gamertag on both machines (ie swapping between the two systems at will) or will your gamertag be stuck on the Xbox One ??

    You don't start with a clean slate.

    You just download the same profile you had on the 360 with all the achievements/Gamerscore still there.

    If you want to start on the xbox one with your Gamerscore at 0 then you'd need to start a new account.

    If you want to start downloading the Xbox One free Games With Xbox Live Gold you can do so through Xbox.com and queue them up ready for download when you get the Xbox One giving you more games to play with when you open your new Xbox One.

    Unfortunately there is not an option on the Xbox One to move a gamertag from one Microsoft account to another, however this is an option to do so on a Xbox 360. If you have one available you can check out this link and learn how to move it.

    Otherwise you would need to contact official support and see if they can do anything to help you out with moving your gamertag to that other MSA

    Thanks, but like i mentioned i dont want to lose any of my content on the new console but i figure itd be obvious someone wont wanna lose all their content on their old gamer tag :p

    Ive got a full friends list, 41.9k gamerscore and god knows how much special edition, bonus, and general content ive claimed/purchased over the years lol couldnt go n never us my xbox again so to speak.

    Thnx for the suggestions tho.

    Does anyone else know of any type of merging of accounts or if the phone lines could actually help me merge the accounts/tags?
