    Well this account is not my "work" account. I don't need you to believe whether or not I work for xbox support, what "I" need is a better way for customers to report players who make a daily habit of scamming other players.

    Just to add....

    Being an ambassador is NOT an official support member Zim.

    That being said, As an ambassador you should check out the FYI and forum rules.... This thread was doomed from the beginning.

    MicroSoft has many different support sections so, I don't doubt the claim. Just the actions taken here.

    You should also know that having an account "hacked" is very unlikely.

    this is ridiculous... I'm not saying i'm a support member because of ambassador status... drop that please. this is why things don't get taken care of. I work at an xbox call center. We were told to go through this action by my trainers months ago. If the
    policy was different or was changed then we were not aware. Thank you for the concern though. I'm ignoring this thread from this point on.

    That's why I supported you in saying MS has many differnt support sections good sir.

    As a public reprasentative of the XBOX community (ambassador definition) it does help to know the policy though. (that's why I directed you towards the correct information)

    I wish you well but ignorance is not an excuse. Impersonation is also a punnishable offence (just throwing that out there)

    Ignoring a problem wont help much......

    I recommend a call to support for any futher issues you have.

    In the mean time use the console features to Block, Mute, Avoid and Report ill behavior.

    How helpful of you Kaos.

    You could just get off the guy's case since, as you mentioned, it's a very real possibility he could work for Support and you haven't got a clue whether he does or not.

    As far as the thread goes, I agree there needs to be a better way to report users so that action is actually taken swiftly and effectively. As it is I consistently report people to what feels like no effect, though I do occasionally get a message back saying
    action has been taken.

    My whole issue is that there isn't an effective way to take care of this issue.

    Heres a scenario:

    gamer a steals gamer b's account

    gamer b calls support

    only thing support can do is file a UA claim ... which takes more then enough time to take care of.

    if gamer a changed things on the account it's not a guarantee that you'll get your account back. If gamer a violates terms of use while using your account you get banned and your tenure, saves, achievements, as well as any amount of MSA currency is forfeited.

    Now if you get your account back if gamer a is a real jerk and his account wasn't blocked or his ip or console wasn't banned then he can easily do it again to not only you but to someone else. I really feel that there should be a forum to report players
    not just for the Gamer B's sake for other players as a heads up. Contacting Support about this issue doesn't do anything honestly. I turn down several customers (usually children) that lose their accounts everyday. Not only do they lose the account the credit
    card information is stored on the account as well... and we all know what kind of problems that can cause.

    Personally I'd have no problem with a section of the forum or xbox.com being there for reporting. Sony have it on playstation.com, so there is no reason Microsoft could not have it here.

    My suggestion would be that if it were a forum section then it should be fully moderated, in that threads are not viewable to the general users and only to the XBLPET.

    As others have mentioned, naming and shaming isn't allowed because we have no way to know if what the person is claiming is true. For example I could easily post a claim that
    You and I would know it isn't true but how would anyone else on the forum. General users wouldn't need to see the reports, only the XBLPET.

    The thing is that if people believe that the XBLPET are ignoring reports though the console, then why would they think they'd pay any more attention to a forum report.

    OP is right. There should be a better way report gamers. And it shouldn't be limit to just XB360 and XB1 players to report them.

  14. First things first Zim how did the user get the password into the account? Do you have all enabled security proofs?

    Also there is a lot more that can be done past just filing a UA claim. Forums is not the place any of this needs to be. You need to call Xbox Support for your region. Here is a link to numbers.

    Once there speak to a support agent about your account issues and lock it down. Also make sure to get your SRX number, It should look something like SRX0000000000ID (I just used zero to show the string) Agents can escalate any case to a back line team within
    Microsoft. Please follow proper protocol and avoid naming and shaming in the forums.

    Its clear no one is paying attention... you can escalate all you want about issues just like this... I do it everyday... but it doesn't matter usually. In fact in most UA cases the account is lost forever. Security proofs are a joke and a half. I've watched
    countless number of love members lose their 8-10 year old account because they follow the policy to the letter and some stupid proof update somehow validates wrong information that has nothing to do with the account. Security is great and all but its preventing
    more actual customers from getting into their own accounts (who have no idea how to hack) hackers are gonna do whatever they want to an account and there's not much any amount of "security" anyone can add to their info. You wouldn't believe how common this
    problem is. Kids not being able to transfer over to the ONE because their account is locked for 30 days over an email or text message they are receiving to their actually correct information... suggesting two step verification is an even bigger joke. Also
    causes more people to make their profile split and become inactive and never to be repaired. I do work for a support call center and believe that the knowledge that is actually available on her (especially in the ambassador academy) is a joke. Most of the
    information given in the error code search are invalid and have yet to be updated since the spring system update in the beginning of April. Makes my job even harder when the information to get to the customer are not accurate. Try telling a grandparent or
    a parent that their kid that's throwing a for on the floor because he can't use the new console on his account and use the $600 investment their parents made for over 30 days. Then when those 30 days are up and it still doesn't work like it was promised it
    would oh sorry your account split in half and can't be fixed... sorry about your 12 years of tenure and the thousands of dollars you've spent with us. Escalations are not as cut and dry and people make them out to be here on the forums and in the chat support
    its amazing how many people are misinformed... (as you can see here)... regardless if your "security proofs" are fully updated.
