[mod removed] is thretening to hack me he copyed my gamertag and he stole 50$ from my account

 

Please ban my gamertag. Somone has stolen it.

Naming and shamming is not allowed on the forums. If your account has been compromised you have to
contact xbox support
for help.

 

naming and shamming? I'm reporting. There should be a better way to report a player besides just the gamer profile... I work for xbox support and I know for a fact there's no other way to report players... reporting through the gamer profiles doesn't help...
nothing gets done.

 

If you worked for Xbox Support you'd know there's nothing anyone on this site can do, so it's not 'reporting', it's naming and shaming. It'd bear as much weight as if I said you stole my other account. There's no way it can be proven or disproven through
the website.

 

I can actually believe he works for support. They keep sending people to 'report' on the forum, woefully ignorant of the fact that the forum rules don't allow it.

Doing so is actually more likely to get them suspended from the forum than it is the other person from LIVE.

As mentioned though you need to call support and open an Unauthorised Access Case. Here are the support numbers, find the one for your region and get calling http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/12/p/184869/964344.aspx.

The account will be locked for the duration of the investigation and if they find in your favour, the account will be returned to you.

 

I do work for support and I do know that the actual MS Enforcement team moderates these forums. In fact this is where I tell customers to go to report a player

 

Well you are giving people the wrong information.

The Enforcement Team only view two boards on this forum. 09 - Xbox 360 Account Suspensions & Console Bans and 13 - Xbox One Account & Console Enforcement Actions. Those two section are also only for enquiring about bans. There is nowhere on the forum for filing
reports.

You should know that all people are meant to do to file a complaint is to do so through their console.

@ Surreal: No worries. It'd be nice if you could pass this up the chain as 'reporting' people on the forum is the wrong advice and achieves nothing.

A moderator will just edit the gamertag out of your post, adding "don't name and shame on the forum."

@Bullets: It is sad for me that the different sections of Microsoft aren't communicating. How can official support not know the rules of the official forum.

I think vote should work for support or teach a class for Xbox support.

 

The OP has my respect working for support, despite the wrong information in this case.

I would never have the patience to deal with the general public day in and day out. Especially since most times they aren't exactly going to be phoning you with praise.

My support career wouldn't even last a day. I doubt it would be many calls in before I was swearing back at people.
