    I went on the Xbox Support Chat about wanting a gamertag that was banned it isn't offensive but was banned probably of jealousy this gamertag is amazing and i want it very much the problem is that the people on support doesn't have access to the database
    to unban it, my gamertag is and i wish to change it to this other gamertag the reason i don't want to say what i need to change it to is fear of someone taking it before me so whoever has the power please email me at [Mod removed] or send me
    a message xbox maintenance support so we can fix this issue and have me get my dream gamertag <3 thank you

    Unable to add son to xbox one

    I have this exact same issue, spent hours yesterday on chat support, it has now been escalated. I can create new gamertag's on the console but dont really want to lose my sons existing gamertag.

    HELP - DLC not accesible

    Just to add to this, DRM based content is issued with two licenses, one to the console ID and one to the Gamertag that downloaded it, so to use this content on another console the Gamertag that downloaded it must be signed into Live, whereas all profiles can use it on the original console, unless you transfer the licenses with the DRM tool of course.

    As per the terms of use you may only have rated e topics in your gamertag

    Also you can change your gamertag at anytime but it will cost you 10bucks every time

    It is to help you think more seriously about the changes since it costs you money each time

    As long as you keep it clean

    Especially since you can get permanently banned for multiple violations of the naming rules

    Maybe you should read the terms of use if you cannot see why your previous name was removed

    It will help stop future issues with names later

    Just to add,if a gamertag is banned then it's banned,it will never be made available to anyone.

    A tag is never banned because of "jealousy",it's banned because it's offensive & is against the code of conduct.

    There's a sticky post in this forum that explains that spacing and capitalization don't matter.

    I can't change my Gamertag (GT).

    Just because you can't friend request a GT doesn't mean it is available. First of all, all GT are tied to services like Zune or Games for Windows LIVE. If a GT doesn't exist on Xbox, it might be in use on one of those services. Also, spaces and capitalization
    are not considered when looking for available GTs. For example, "Major Nelson" is the same as "MajorNelson" is the same as "MaJoR nElSoN". Basically if the service says the GT isn't available, it isn't available.

    Failure to "add" tells you little. You can always try editing a Profile link with all the different spacing variants... Meet

    Solutions

    Solution 1: Restart your Xbox 360 console and download your profile again

    First, restart your console. Then, try to download your profile again. Here’s how:

    Download your Xbox LIVE profile

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.

    1. Select Download Profile.
      Note If you don’t see Download Profile, it probably means you’re signed in to your profile. Press
      X to sign out.
    2. Enter the Windows Live ID that’s associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag. If you don’t know your Windows Live ID or password,

      see Manage your Windows Live ID      .

      Note If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, you have to use the parent’s Windows Live ID to download the profile.
    3. Select the storage device for your profile (for example, Hard Drive).

      Your profile will begin downloading. When the download is complete, you can choose whether to require a Windows Live ID password to sign in to your profile.
    Remember Password option

    The Remember Password option is off by default, which means you’ll be prompted for your Windows Live ID password when you sign in to your Xbox LIVE profile. Leave
    Remember Password unchecked if you want to be prompted for your Windows Live ID password when you sign in to your profile on this console.
    You should now be able sign in to this console using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    Solution 2: Contact Xbox Support

    If the previous solution didn’t solve the problem, contact
    Xbox Support    .

    Call the Xbox Support number, IF your gamertag has personal identifiable info in it they will put a force GT change on the account
