    Gamertag issues on public servers


    Hello!

    I recently changed my Gamertag, and it updated on the games that I owned. However, I did notice that it did not update on Minecraft's public servers, which include The Hive, Mineplex, etc.

    Is there any way to fix this?

    DNS Error

    Try specifying dns server addresses of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on your console- These are Googles Public DNS Servers and might resolve your issue

    Downloading content with slow Internet.

    I fixed it. It was a DNS issue but I switched it to Google's public servers and it's working properly now.

    Gamertags are not stored for public view (I don't see mine except other sites where I use it). That is part of the security of the Xbox Live Server, Gamertags are only known by friends (as are real names if you allow that).

    Are you trying to search for anyone else that might have the same tag?

    HBO GO not working on Xbox 360

    It's a DNS issue. I fixed it by manually the DNS servers on the Xbox 360. I used Level3's public DNS servers:

    209.244.0.3

    209.244.0.3

    Have you tried to change the DNS server address for your console, to one of Googles public DNS servers. It could be that your ISP are having issues with their DNS servers.

    Give it a try and let us know how that goes.
