    Hi all,

    I have a gamertag on my xbox which i have had for years, using my normal e-mail address.

    I then set up a fortnite account on my nintendo switch, using the same email, but stupidly didn't think at the time about linking so i have one user ID across the two platforms, so even though its the same email address, i can't get the two accounts to have the same game tag, and therefore can't play the same account on either device.

    Thats not a big deal really though. The main issue is that now i have a game pass on the xbox, i have downloaded EA Play, logged in with the email address, and its using the Nintendo/Epic games ID.

    Is there a way to tidy this all up? Does it even matter if on the EA app i just change the tag to my xbox one? Do i need to link the two accounts together?

    For the fortnite stuff, im not fussed about just deleting the account with Epic then setting up again and linking properly from the start but i don't know if thats possible? Plus, being a bit sad, but i have built up a lot of the gifts and things on that account so ideally i would like to transfer all into the xbox account.

    Try logging out of accounts that are logged into the devices that are experiencing this issue. Also make sure all updates are installed.

    This resolves the issue for a short time but it then reoccurs. It must be a console software bug. It occurs across a range of controllers with fully charged batteries. All software is upto date.

    Keep in mind that gamertag changes may not be reflected instantly, and may take some time to update and be relected across Microsoft services and devices.

    You can try restarting your device and see if that helps.
