Gamertag Issue!

Recently I have made a new Xbox live account with the gamertag: () Upon playing for a day or two, I decided that it might look more presentable if I put a space in between the two words: (Fluent Recordz) However, when I went to do so,
my Xbox One told me me that it is now "reserved" despite no one else having that gamertag (yes I looked). Therefore, I contacted Xbox Support through the Chat option and received a logical explanation from an Xbox representative who basically said that it
is reserved for security reasons so that no one else can try to pose as me by having such a minor difference such as a "space" in between the two words. But he also said that since I'm in the fact the original creator, I should be able to change it without
any problems. He said all I have to do is post in this forum and then proceeded to provide me with a link to a forum that actually had nothing to do with my issue... (-__-) Even though it was the forum for account suspensions, I still hopefully posted my issue
only to receive an unhelpful email about how I posted in the wrong forum...(thanks) A few days later (today), I contacted Xbox Support through the Call Service and received a completely contradicting response from this particular representative saying that
gamertags being reserved for security reasons makes absolutely "no sense" to him and that the guy I talked to before is wrong...*facepalm* Both he and his supervisor, who really had nothing good to say, couldn't provide an explanation for me and told me to
post in a forum, even though and I quote "it might not get a response or even be looked at." (Sounds great!) Basically, they told me to deal with it without knowing why themselves. So here I am today, wondering what is it gonna take to add a measly space in
between my gamertag) without having to climb the Xbox chain of command. I do not plan on compromising till this issue gets resolved and every passing day that I spend looking at my "unspaceless" gamertag, my distaste for Xbox Live's Support
increases. What must I do to add a space in between my name? How many mountains do I have to climb before I my gamertag has a valley? I don't even have the option to PAY for the change! Is life really this hopeless? Should I switch to Play Station? Maybe this
post on this forum will give me some closure. Until then, I am forced to cry myself to sleep as I wonder why Xbox won't give me any space...

Unable to add son to xbox one

I have this exact same issue, spent hours yesterday on chat support, it has now been escalated. I can create new gamertag's on the console but dont really want to lose my sons existing gamertag.

 

HELP - DLC not accesible

Just to add to this, DRM based content is issued with two licenses, one to the console ID and one to the Gamertag that downloaded it, so to use this content on another console the Gamertag that downloaded it must be signed into Live, whereas all profiles can use it on the original console, unless you transfer the licenses with the DRM tool of course.

 

The system does not recognize spaces so it will see FluentRecordz & Fluent Recordz as the same gamertag,that's why it says it's taken when you try to change it.

The only way to do it is to change your tag to something else which would free up the tag you want & then change that tag to Fluent Recordz.

Unfortunately you would have to pay for 2 gamertag changes though.
