    Hi,

    I currently want to change my old gamertag to the username I use literally EVERYWHERE on the internet since at least 2016-2017.

    But the problem is that the "gamertag is not allowed" for no appearant reason.

    Currently, my username is "Kiki79250CoC" and it is used on Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, Steam, GitHub, everywhere, but I cannot set it as my gamertag. I'm a very very VERY casual 18 years-old gamer so nothing can justify that. An eventual account suspension is just impossible since I never got an account suspended on any website ever. I'm so respectful than even a A4 paper sheet can be less polite than me.

    So "Why" ? My username have nothing who can be against any rule. And even for inappropriate name, this is not possible because :

    "Kiki" came from my first name, Kylian,

    "79250" came from the postal code from the city where I lived when I "created" this username in 2016,

    and "CoC" is for ... "Clash of Clans", because in 2016 I played a lot of Clash of Clans (and I still play this game btw).

    So... Where is the problem ? Where this username can be against something ?

    And will I ever be able to replace my old gamertag with my username ?!

    I'm sorry to hear that. Sadly, if the tag is not allowed, there is nothing that can be done. The gamertag could have been issued a permanent suspension or any number of other reasons for no being permitted.

    If it doesn't meet the requirements you will get that message and will need to pick a different one.

    Hi Kylian,

    sadly some people try to use other writings for inappropriate words to bypass the rules and restrictions.

    If I should bet, it's the last 3 letters of that nick (just guessing šŸ˜) why this Gamertag is not allowed.

    But I more wonder that you don't have no problem with other services, cause most often they have the same restrictions !

    The following comes up for that particular username:

    "This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one"

    That usually indicates that it is not allowed for whatever reason rather than it already being in use

    Minecraft username and Xbox Gamertag are two different concepts. The Microsoft/Xbox account you used for the migration got a random gamertag, it doesn't take the Minecraft username, so if you want to change it you must do it through this website

    If you are trying to use the username you had in Minecraft as gamertag and the system puts some numbers in front of a "#" character, it means that gamertag without the numbers is already in use, the numbers are added randomly to identify each account with the same gamertag.
