    If someone could help me that would be great. Ok I am receiving a lot of hate from people at my school and online about my gamertag. It is . I get hate cause of the Games at the end of it. I'm old it's stupid and ***. i cant afford new one So
    could someone help me out please?

    no you only get a free change A: when you create a new account and it has to be created on the system and the system auto generates a name for you and you only have 30 days to change it after that it costs 10 bucks. B: given a forced name change for violating
    the code of conduct and you would still have to pay to change it to something else.

    Hey, guys! The phrasing on the site is incorrect, and you will still be charged if you do not meet the requirements that davemcfly85 stated. We are in the process of getting that corrected, but for now, dave has the right info!

    Set privacy settings to friends only and block anyone else

    Setting contacts to friends only will block unwanted contacts

    If it's a free name change you're after then i'm afraind you will have to pay like everyone else.

    You only get a free name change if your tag violates the CoC,your's does not,& you would be given a random tag anyway.

    It may be a glitch on the page because you were able to take advantage of that years ago. However, the service has been updated so that any gamertag change beyond the 30 day limit requires payment.

    I have checked that section and it shows the same message for me as well. I suspect it will do the same for everyone.

    My account has like 8 or 9 yrs tenure and isn't a new account nor was it an auto-generated name. I have had the option for a free name change for as long as I can remember so I have no idea why my account seems to be different from the norm. :?
