Gamertag forcibly changed

The difference is that those of us who have participated in the beta have had access to forums specific to this beta, just as those who have participated in dashboard betas or game-specific betas. Just because every detail of the beta has not been posted
in public forums or faqs does not mean that it has not been posted for those who have participated in the beta.

I have participated in the beta; I have read and posted in the beta related forums. Regardless of what you believe is true and what is false, I have no reason to provide you with inaccurate information nor do I have a reason to lie.

The fact of the matter is that this beta test was not to allow those of us testing to actually take enforcement actions; it was to test the program's capabilities and it's functionality as well as to - and I'm quoting here from the beta forum - "provide
valuable insight into our policies and how Xbox Live members can work together to make this community the best it can be." If/when I find the information given to us as to the nature of these tags, I'm more than willing to quote it, however, as these forums
are not accessible by everybody, any link I might provide is unlikely to work for you.

Regardless of opinions as to the Enforcement United beta, the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team has made a decision in this case and obviously felt that the OP's previous gamertag violated the Code of Conduct. Whether you agree with it or not, or whether
it was intentional or not, the decision was made and cannot be undone by anybody in this forum. The only option would be to try and post a message for the XBLPET in the forum for Banned/Suspended accounts. That is the only place in the forums that the XBLPET
reads and it is the only possible place to receive any sort of official response from them or a reversal, if any can be had in this situation.

 

@Vaynel, did you miss the part of my post the said "that would suggest"? I was never definitive.

 

Didn't mean to impune the honor of Zen or Balverine. Just that the official information that is available to the general public says the opposite to what you guys are saying.

If this isn't an active program at the moment then that needs to be made clear to people.

 

Didn't take it as impugning upon my honor. I actually made sure to reread the FAQ after your post. I would have to agree that it can be read and understood as the program working as suggested, while it is in beta testing the tags are not current reports.
Knowing what I know about the current state of EU, I see where it talks about how it "will" work, I see that as when the program is running for everyone. I can see how it could be taken otherwise.

 

That's the problem mate. You have access to behind the scenes information that the rest of the of us do not have.

So you can read the FAQ and know what it really means. Without that behind the scenes info it says the opposite.

It really needs to be made far more clear or situations like have happened in this thread will keep on happening.

 

Of course, in any beta, the people participating are going to have behind the scenes information. In this case, the misunderstanding seems to be coming from how the text of the FAQ is being interpreted. As I said previously, I believe it comes from the FAQ
expressing what the final product will be rather than what the beta is actually doing.

 

Don't get me wrong. I know that in betas and the like you have information that others wont, and that most likely you can't share details.

As I said though without that extra information the official FAQ, which lets face it people are going to believe, says that the program is active and is operating as described.

They need to make that the beta isn't using current reports but previous ones to test the system.

Not sure what else I can say without repeating myself.

 

And what was your gamertag, if you say it's not really offensive doesn't help. Kind of like say well it's not really that bad, cause it is watch Ted better explanation

Apologies for the misinformation from support OP, they sometimes send people here when they do not know the answer to a question. They do not deal with or have access to info regarding enforcement actions taken against an account.

To answer your question yes an account is issued with an automatically generated name when an FNC is issued.
You would need to pay the required amount to change it to a tag of your choosing.
