Gamertag forcibly changed

Hi. My gamer tag has recently been forcibly changed. I didn't ask for this, and an agent over chat said it was done by Code Enforcement, but he didn't have any further information, possibly for someone reporting 'offensive gamer tag'. While ""
is a cute name, it is not one I appreciate having for myself. I have been with Xbox Live for 6 years, and have tried my best to not offend others, and did not think my gamer tag was really offensive. Please help. Thank you for your time with this matter.

Also Criosphinx, the system does not recognize if the name is all capitals, and just because he put the name in all capitals does not mean that is how it shows on the gamertag.

 

Also, sorry if in the wrong thread. Was in a bit of a hurry to get this posted, the agent over the phone was VERY vague and just kept saying 'post on the forums.' Me: "Which one? Which part of the forums?!" Agent: "Any one. they are all on the same website."
Me: "....-_-*"

 

It will have been changed because it violated the code of conduct.

It makes no difference how long you have had it , times change.

What was the tag?

 

The tag was Zyk10bee. The TG age wasn't to say that tag should be immune to reprecussions, it was to show how long I have avoided 'offending' others. ^_^ But any time in the past, people I know who had gamer tags reported would be logged out then asked
to choose a new gamer tag. One wasn't simply pushed on them. Is that new?

Yes, they changed the free change option.

If your tag gets a forced change now, you must pay for a new one.

 

I appreciate your input on this. Please don't take offense when I ask, are you a moderator/employee of Microsoft, or a helpful and active forum user? I checked your profile, but didn't spot any official title. While $10 might not be much, it goes a LONG
way for people like me with kids xD I am really hoping an admin will officially give me a yes/no on helping with my gamer tag.

The problem with gamertag reports these days is that ambassadors are getting the say in whether they are offensive or not, not microsoft.

From what i have seen mistakes have been made and rectified by microsoft.

Phone support should have helped you more than sending you here.

Unless i am missing something obvious, i can`t see what is wrong with the tag.

Actually, Owen, that's not entirely accurate. The Ambassadors were given access to beta test something called "Enforcement United", which does involve those participating to voice their opinions
on whether a gamertag violates the Code of Conduct. However, all gamertags provided during this beta are ones that have already been acted upon by the Policy Enforcement Team. Once the program is out of the beta phase, it will become open for all users that
meet the eligibility requirements, not just Ambassadors, and it will take more than a handful of people to decide that the gamertag is in violation. As such, it wouldn't be just somebody who has it against you or is just overly critical.

Even if anybody beyond the XBLPET had the ability to make an opinion as to the validity of a current gamertag, I don't know how many might have known that Zyklon B was a fumigation gas that was used in Auschwitz to exterminate Jewish captives. I would expect,
however, that those that did, would likely deem that such a tag does violate the
Code of Conduct. Specifically Section C, Point 1, subpoints 7, 8, and 9. I'll quote the section here for reference and bold the text that I'm referencing:

As for the OP, You already got a free name change (you think it's cute)...... Now a fee of 9.99 is required for another change to something you deem worthy..

So a year into the programme the ambassadors are still not dealing with real gamertags, or ones that haven`t already been dealt with??

I find that very hard to believe.
