Gamertag force changed, need help from Support

Hi everyone,

Did a chat with support about my gamertag being force changed, and I was directed here (11 - Xbox One Account & Console Enforcement Actions) which looks like it hasn't been active since last September. Either way, I need help from support to understand why
my gamertag was changed. It was not breaking Xbox CoC. I would like to have it changed back. If thats not possible, I would at least like to be able to pick a new user name other than the randomly generated one I was assigned.

Gamertag unjustly force changed

My gamertag was recently force changed for no apparent reason as it violated no code of conduct rules and had no offensive or vulgar language. Need some help here from support, the enforcement team or anyone who knows what they are doing better than i do.

Are you saying there was no notification after the change?

Indeed Xbox live will take the 9.99 fee for a name change. May I ask what Lol and Dota have to do with your name being changed on XBLA?

You would have to go to
http://enforcement.xbox.com for any information about the change and to submit a case review if available.

With a forced name change, if you want to change it to one of your choosing, you will have to pay to change it.

Yes, I would definitely say that is against the ToU/CoC and I look for it to be removed from the forums very soon.

 

Yeah, that definitely is a violation of the code of conduct.

 

JollyPup you will definitely either have to stick with the forced tag or pay to change it to something else. If you elect to pay for something else you should read the code of conduct and pick something that is going to be acceptable.

 

Yup that gamertag is DEFINITELY against the code of conduct as such is why it was force changed. As others have stated you can either keep the random one you were given or pay the fee to change it to something else. You will want to make yourself familiar
with the code of conduct and that whatever one you choose does not break the code of conduct
