GamerTag force changed for no reason!

Hello Forums Community!

I received an email today from Xbox Enforcement, saying that my gamertag was offensive. The tag was "[Mod Removed]." I myself am an avid Star Wars fan and I have a dog who looks like Chewbacca, aka a Wookie. He likes the frequent stroking or
petting of his fur, and after seeing a "[Mod Removed]" username elsewhere, I decided to make that my new gamertag. However, in this politically correct age we live in, someone somehow took offense to this, and reported me! I don't mind the
bad rep and whatnot, I mostly play with friends anyways. However, my gamertag was forcibly changed! Again, I did not really mind, except that now I am stuck with some lame generic gamertag, and I have to pay $9.99 to change it! If someone wants to report me,
that's fine, but why should I have to pay for this? Is there anyway the fee can be waived?

My gamertag was force changed for supposedly having sexual content when that is not the case. My tag was POOTRPUNCHER. There is no profanity in that tag. The meaning of the word pooter is, a glass jar used for catching insects and puncher is self explanatory
I just want my tag back its unique.

 

You can try submitting a case review at
http://enforcement.xbox.com but the decision will most likely be upheld. The policy is per the code of conduct you agreed to. If you want to change your tag to something else, you will have to pay. There is no way around that.

 

I already took that step, and I am aware of the code of conduct that I agreed to. However, when explaining my point of view and intent of the choosing of my Gamertag, this is no longer a code of conduct breach.

 

Unfortunately it doesn't matter what your intent is in making a gamertag. If it can be taken as something that violates the code of conduct, and the enforcement team determines that it does, then it's still a breach of the code.
