    Gamertag didn’t work on Ipad


    When I try to create a gamertag, it doesn’t work. When it says I could make the gamertag and I press “Let’s go” It doesn’t work and when I retype the gamertag that says it worked before, it always says the same thing “That gamertag didn’t work. Try another one.” I’m on IPad by the way

    This appears to be an emerging issue that arose just a few hours ago, Microsoft has not posted that it is a known issue yet, but other users have reported this same issue through other forum threads. You can check some examples here:

    I ask you to wait a couple of hours and try again to set a gamertag to your account, and do what is mentioned in that forum thread to report the problem.

    I didn’t restart my iPad before installing the app or after installing it again. I am getting the notifications on my phone, but not my iPad. I did update the iPad to the latest software recently within a few days.

    Sorry to hear that, in some cases can take up to 72 hours to be reflected your gamertag change everywhere.

    If even after this time you're not able to see this change the best option is request a refund for it and as soon as you receive the money, give it a new try:

    Just to let you know, in case your refund gets denied, you can actually file an appeal for the results of the refund.

    All you need to do is to reply to the email that was sent to you by the refund team, you can reply with a detailed explanation so they can review your request again and grant you a possible exception.
