    Gamertag character length


    Pretty frustrated with the new 12 character limit on the gamertags! The 15 characters was perfect and i want to change my name in honor of a friend i loss and now even tho im grandfathered in with my longer gamertag if i change it in his honor it wont
    fit because of the 12 character limit! Please go back to the 15 limit!

    i really don't care either way, i didn't ever feel the need to change my gamertag lol, but i can see why people would be irritated about it.

    I imagine the change was because few used the 15 and so lowered them to 12, it is possible that if many ask that it return to 15

    I think thats a really good reason and they should of kept it but it’s because of there new system where its #1234 if someone has the same tag as you. That was an example

    I understand your frustration and sorry to hear about your friend. I don’t think the gamertag system is gonna change or revert back anytime soon. The Gamertag
    update FAQ     explains why the system was updated.
