Gamertag changed

Today my buddy and I made xbox accounts with the intent on them being similar. I got on to play about 30 minutes ago and mine was changed, however his was not. Needless to say I am very very frustrated. I know in the past that when someone was forced to
change their gamertag they had a choice as to what it was changed to. My question is why am I being punished for this? If your system let the name go through, that is the SYSTEM that is at fault, not me. All i'm asking for is an opportunity to change my name,
as in no way am I happy with "".

Gamertag changed

I got a message that connecting to Xbox Live was not possible with my profile and that I shoul download it again. After doing so my Gamertag was changed.

I want my tag back!

FNC? I few years ago they made my friend change his account. He was able to freely choose a new name. Now you have to pay? I am wondering why they changed it?

You can change your tag, but you will have to pay for it. The policy changed a year ago and you would have had to agree to the new code of conduct.

No as people do find ways to get past the word filter

Its not flawed

People will always try and get past the system

It an honor system

All names has to be rated e for everyone if you get reported it is reviewed by multiple teams before being issued a namechamge

Multiple forced name changes will only end badly for people because it results in a perm account suspension

Best policy use common sense

When you do a name change it is only checked against the name list and banned words however people do use mispellings and different ways to spell a new word

The only way to be perfect would be every name change would have to be reviewed by multiple teams before being accepted that would create an enormous backlog

That's why the honor system works better

If people follow thenrules they will never have an issue with Xbox live Or the pet team

Yes, changing the gamertag again should be possible, als changing back to your previous Gamertag is possible, as long as your original Gamertag isn't already taken by somebody else.

Keep in mind each change will require a payment.

I'm afraid there are no free gamertag changes, if a gamertag was deemed to break the CoC/ToU then you will given a generated one and if you want to change the gamertag into something chosen by yourself it will have the fee like any gamertag change.
