Gamertag Changed

My gamertag used to be [Mod Removed]. Then, Microsoft decided to change my gamertag to . So, I tried to change it to something else, assuming it would be free because my gamertag had been changed without my consent, but I
was asked to pay $10 for a change. My previous gamertag broke no code of conduct so why is it being changed? I am willing to change it to something else, I just want it to be free. Thank you!

I got a message that connecting to Xbox Live was not possible with my profile and that I shoul download it again. After doing so my Gamertag was changed.

FNC? I few years ago they made my friend change his account. He was able to freely choose a new name. Now you have to pay? I am wondering why they changed it?

 

I would also like to add that when I talked to someone in Microsoft Support chat, they agreed with me and told me that there was no problem with my previous gamertag and said that if she could change it but she was unable to.

whY did you even bother asking when you clearly know why you were forced to change your name

And no as per the terms of use violations are not reversed and you will pay for a name change

Hiding the sword behind another word bypasswe the word filter and remeknee it's a computer looking at your name not a human

However when a complaint is filed your name woulld be reviewed by multiple teams before an name change is issued also multiple offences of the names rules will only end badly for you like a permanent suspension of the account

Consider it lucky it's not one strike on most servers including psn which doesn't have name changes and will ban the account

Sorry if you dont know the definition of that word you need a dictionary it is the oldest offencive word in American history

Noone in their right minds would think that word comes from a person who have the right morals

It's a derogatory word and a hate speech banned in many countries
