Gamertag Changed

Reference # [Mod removed]

Upon attempting to sign in to my account today, I was notified I needed to redownload my profile. While doing that, I noticed my gamertag was changed from "[Mod Removed]" to "FancyFawn876720".

I would like to know why my gamertag was changed as I don't find it goes against the Code of Conduct or and User Agreement. I've also never had any complaints in-game from people that found it offensive. The only comments I had received about it, were
positive.

I've been a long time subscriber to XBox Live and enjoy meeting people around the world with the service and gamertags such as mine are conversation starters meant only to be funny.

I would request that my gamertag be reinstated as was prior to the change.

I certainly do not want to keep the gamertag issued to me.

Gamertag changed

I got a message that connecting to Xbox Live was not possible with my profile and that I shoul download it again. After doing so my Gamertag was changed.

I want my tag back!

FNC? I few years ago they made my friend change his account. He was able to freely choose a new name. Now you have to pay? I am wondering why they changed it?

I would like to advise you, not to post reference numbers on these forums as they are only for you and Microsoft. Not the community.

If you believe that your Gamertag had been changed by the Enforcement Team, please post in the
Consoles banned and Suspended Forums, where the Enforcement Team can tell you why your gamertag has been changed on Xbox Live.

Pretty funny, Chat support gave me a link to here directly and told me specifically to include the reference number.

 

Your gamertag was changed for obvious reasons.

Belittling women of different size is considered arrogant,obnoxious,ignorant, small minded, need I go on? It's no suprise the gamertag was changed to be honest. Glad the Enforcement Team caught attention of that, hats off to the one who filed the complaint
on the gamertag.

It's amazing how people try so hard for a laugh through a gamertag.

Little tip for future reference though, if you want to keep a gamertag, why not refrain from any form of insults in it? Just saying

 

There is no belittling or anything else taking place in my gamertag. Fat is an adjective. Perhaps I prefer women of a larger variety? I had the gamertag for at least a couple of years and now it gets changed? Your obvious jump to conclusion in itself

What's so wrong about getting a laugh with your gamertag?

Again, there is no insult taking place in my gamertag, and the 3 members of support I've spoken with tonight agree with me.

Take your negative comments somewhere else please. I'm looking for an answer.

 

What it comes down to is that somebody took offence to it, reported it as being offensive, the PET determined it was indeed offensive, and you received a forced name change. Sometimes, something you think is funny, can be very not funny to somebody else.
It makes no difference how long you had the tag, and there really is no way to appeal the decision. Please be aware that if you continue to create gamertags that can be considered offensive, you can receive a higher level of enforcement action, including banning
of the account.

 

Keep on trolling, I won't bite back, but I will say this.

In regards to 3 agents agreeing with you, thereactually is a notable difference between humouring you, and agreeing with you. Maybe one day you'll work that one out. Good luck getting your gamertag back, you're going to need it.

yeah you won't be getting that tag back and the others are correct if you change it to another just as bad tag too many forced name changes results in PERM ban of live.

 

The support agents you spoke to are nothing to do with xbox live enforcement whatsoever so it doesn't matter what their opinions are.

The gamertag was definately against the code of conduct & that is why it was changed.
