Gamertag changed

Hello, my gamertag changed it gave me no message as to say why it changed, but I had to re download my account in order to use it. I now have to pay in order to change it form this default MS Gamertag. I have received your email. In the past you made people
changed it. Now you changed it for them. Is paying the only option I have in order to change it?

Gamertag changed

I got a message that connecting to Xbox Live was not possible with my profile and that I shoul download it again. After doing so my Gamertag was changed.

I want my tag back!

Yep , you gotta pay to change it , so think very carefully about what you change it to , too many FNC's can result in a complete account ban .

Why did they change it? People would receive a message from MS forcing them to change it. What happened?

FNC? I few years ago they made my friend change his account. He was able to freely choose a new name. Now you have to pay? I am wondering why they changed it?

They changed it to try and educate people into choosing Tags that don't breach the T's&C's and the CoC . Choose an iffy tag and they change it to something lame so you gotta pay them $$ to change it to something less lame.

Yes, changing the gamertag again should be possible, als changing back to your previous Gamertag is possible, as long as your original Gamertag isn't already taken by somebody else.

Keep in mind each change will require a payment.

I'm afraid there are no free gamertag changes, if a gamertag was deemed to break the CoC/ToU then you will given a generated one and if you want to change the gamertag into something chosen by yourself it will have the fee like any gamertag change.
