    Xbox changed gamertag without notice

    wow just WOW

    it does not matter what your last name is that name is not allowed period as it is a HATE group

    you are in the wrong forums and the correct forums will not allow yhou to dispute it as the forums is not for disputes only for inquiry

    no matter how you justify your name the name is not allowed period nowhere in schools or in public places or in gaming

    Xbox changed gamertag without notice

    I recently logged into my account and instead of my normal username of 2 years, xbox live have changed it to happy pup with a load of numbers after it.

    There was nothing profound in my gamertag and didnt give any notice whatsoever. Xbox didnt even give me a choice of what i wanted it. Now i have to pay £7 odd pounds to change it. Its christmas! All my money is tied up in food and presents.

    Any one know the reason for this sudden change?

    First, do not post reference numbers or personal information on the forums. Your gamertag was changed by the Enforcement team for violating the Code of Conduct. www.xbox.com/.../codeofconduct
    Your tag was reported and found in violation of the above, as such it was Forced Change and given a system generated name. The Enforcement Team does not look at these pages and there is no appeal. You can change your tag via the console but you will have
    to pay the fee.

    I contact Support through their online chat. They told me to post all this information on the link given and that it would be reversed.

    Nope you can goto the suspension forums for inquiry but with that name you arent going to get an appeal

    Maybe you should read the rules more less likely to lead to further punishment with names you create

    Fyi your name must be rated E for everyone no matter the excuse

    It's very clear as to why it was force changed.

    You will not get that gamertag back. Support was incorrect in stating it would be reversed. If you'd like a new name, then you're free to pay $9.99 for that.

    Part of the punishment of having a forced name change is that you are given a random tag to replace the offending one.

    If you want to change it you will have to pay.

    FYI,you can't change your gamertag on the other console,you have to start a new account.
