Gamertag changed by Enforcement Team

My gamertag was changed and I did not receive any kind of notification, I have a Xbox One and the original account name was McFukit which was allowed on the Xbox 360 but now has been changed to something I have not approved of and am being asked to pay to
change it. I'd either like it restored to the original or be allowed to change it without being charged.

Your previous tag is clearly against the code of conduct,the only reason you got away with it on the 360 is because no had reported it until now.

The terms you agreed to when you started your account were your notification & as it states in the ToC Microsoft can change your tag to a auto generated one if your previous one is against the rules.

You will not get your previous tag back & if you want to change the one you have now you will have to pay,you will not get a free change.

To many forced name changes will result in a permanent ban.

I received a message from the enforcement team telling me my GT was "inappropriate". I called customer service who could not tell me why my GT violated the code of conduct. My old GT had no profanity, hate speech, content of a sexual nature, illegal, religious,
etc. The customer service people told me I had to contact the enforcement team on the forum to get my gamertag restored or $9.99 back so I can change my gamertag from the new one that I was assigned. Or I could be issued a 2 month xbox live credit to compensate
me for the problem that was created with my GT change.

You would need to post here from an official answer from the enforcement team -

But it doesn't matter whether the support member you spoke to said it was offensive or not. It is up to the enforcement team to determine if a name violates the code of conduct. If they determine it does, they will change it and you will have to pay to change
it to something else.
