    Xbox one followers privacy/spam concerns. END IT

    Even if you change your Gamertag, you purchases and saves are still locked to your account. I could change my gamertag right now and I still have everything. It stays with the email address you signed up with, not gamertag.

    Need your opinion about a couple of gamer profiles

    It cost 800 Microsoft Points to change a gamertag, $10. Change your gamertag of the one you like to something else, and then change the other one to the gamertag you like. $20 investment and your playing on the gamertag you want to play on, and you have the achievements to show off your progression of games.

    We are lucky that Xbox allows GT changes as other services do not allow even that. The fee can be a deterrent from users changing their GT repeatedly on a whim.

    Considering this is the one console that does allow name change, the cost of which is debatable. However everyone has a different opinion. I have only changed my gamertag twice over 13 years and the first time is free. Would I like it to always be free?
    Of course I wish I never had to pay a dime for anything period, but I am also realistic that that isn't how companies can supply you with ongoing services.

    Just rules and i am glad about that. You have to be glad too. Xbox is the only console where you can change you GT.

    Xbox is the only platform that permits changes to the gamer's username. Playstation users have been stuck with the usernames they created when they were 12. Imagine having to play with fellow peers with the name of NarutoRox. Imagine.

    Hi there,

    I'm afraid there are no free gamertag changes, if a gamertag was deemed to break the CoC/ToU then you will given a generated one and if you want to change the gamertag into something chosen by yourself it will have the fee like any gamertag change.
