    Gamertag Change


    Hello,

    My gamertag was changed, although it does not violate any codes in making the tag. I've had it for years. Every time I try to change it, it keeps asking me to pay $10 when I already did?

    Xbox one followers privacy/spam concerns. END IT

    Even if you change your Gamertag, you purchases and saves are still locked to your account. I could change my gamertag right now and I still have everything. It stays with the email address you signed up with, not gamertag.

    Need your opinion about a couple of gamer profiles

    It cost 800 Microsoft Points to change a gamertag, $10. Change your gamertag of the one you like to something else, and then change the other one to the gamertag you like. $20 investment and your playing on the gamertag you want to play on, and you have the achievements to show off your progression of games.

    Sorry to hear it. However, the term genocide does seem to go against the ToU and CoC of the Live service:

    Do not create a Gamertag, profile content, Avatar content, in-game content, videos or any other content that may offend other users. This includes, without limitation, anything related to or suggestive of:

    o Sensitive current or historical events

    Same has happened to me. My name is shawndeep. The *** at the end is something in my language. Did not think it was anything bad. Now it has been changed without my consent or given a chance to change it for free. Apparently people complained about it, but
    when I made the name there was no problem with my name. Could something be done. Just want to be able to change my gamertag without paying. It not fare since it is my name.....

    Some rumors give the impression that XBLPET will provide a free Gamertag change to accounts that have received a forced Gamertag change. This is not the case.

    Hi there,

    I'm afraid there are no free gamertag changes, if a gamertag was deemed to break the CoC/ToU then you will given a generated one and if you want to change the gamertag into something chosen by yourself it will have the fee like any gamertag change.
