    Gamertag Change


    So I want to change my gamer tag on the xbox one. When I click change gamer tag it takes me to the screen where it has suggested names or make your own name. After I make my own name I click enter and I just get put back in the suggested gamer tag screen,
    so my custom gt isn't being saved. I've already reset my xbox and it didn't fix anything. Any thoughts?

    Xbox one followers privacy/spam concerns. END IT

    Even if you change your Gamertag, you purchases and saves are still locked to your account. I could change my gamertag right now and I still have everything. It stays with the email address you signed up with, not gamertag.

    Need your opinion about a couple of gamer profiles

    It cost 800 Microsoft Points to change a gamertag, $10. Change your gamertag of the one you like to something else, and then change the other one to the gamertag you like. $20 investment and your playing on the gamertag you want to play on, and you have the achievements to show off your progression of games.

    Gamertag Change

    It's likely the tag you are trying to adopt is already taken.

    Bear in mind that Xbox Live does not distinguish between tags with spacing and capitalisation.

    Take my name for instance, "13" would be considered the same as " 13", ergo because I have the former no-one would be able to claim the latter even though it has a space and "looks" different.

    It is probable this is the cause but the console is not telling you as such.

    Hi there,

    I'm afraid there are no free gamertag changes, if a gamertag was deemed to break the CoC/ToU then you will given a generated one and if you want to change the gamertag into something chosen by yourself it will have the fee like any gamertag change.
