The answer to your question is that you will not get a free name change,if you want to change it then you will have to pay.

If that's not an option then as the others have told you,you will need to block comms & file a complaint via your console against the people harassing you or set comms to friends only

 

Well if your story was indeed true, if you did get harassed by other Xbox player about your gamertag alias then simply don't play with them and block them, which is easily done. Microsoft at the end day have facilities so as reporting players and blocking
for this such situation so they won't give you a free change period. If you can't afford the one off $10, make me think how can you afford Xbox Live and your Internet connection in the first place.

One alternative thing you could do is cancel you existing Xbox Live account and subscription if you pay monthly and create a brand fresh account with a new gamertag that way you could choose you own name again without being charged.

 

In the end you have been told repeatedly how to handle the situation, it's time to move on.
