I made my account when I was 14 and pretty ignorent I played Xbox for a long time before I got Xbox live. My gamer tag causes me constant harassment when I play online. I enjoy playing online with friends and meeting new people, but the negative comments,
messages and in game chat has made me almost quit playing on xbox live all together. I read online that If I had made my account after I had access to high speed internet I would be allowed 1 free name change, but since I played long before I
had that access my 1 free change is invalid. I've tried changing my privacy setting, but that seems to limit the services I pay for and cut me off from meeting new gamers around the world who look past my name. I really am tired of the distress this causes.
I am aware that I can pay the 10$ fee to change my gamer tag, but I am now a recent college graduate and can barely afford to eat and pay my bills. I would truly appreciate it if I could be granted a chance to change my name in order to make my experience
on the wonderful services y'all provide as they should be. I really can't go on using a service that causes anguish and annoyance just because I was a stupid teenager. I appreciate the time it took for you to read my problem, and hope that I can continue to
play Xbox live without sacrificing my comfort or limiting my use. Thank you again for your time.

And yes they are the only ones that can issue the change so like others have said don't use shaddy sources for "freer" changes

If you read then source of the tutorial it disvows the tutorials

Block communications with anyone sending harassing messages & file a complaint via your console,you can even set comms to friends only.

If you want to change your tag then you will have to pay,you will not get a free name change.

 

If you are getting harrassed maybe you should only invite people who don't harrasss you

You can only get a free namrchange 30days after creation of the account after the randomized name

Now if you are using Google for the template I suggest you read the end of the 7sins forum you googled there is a surprise for you it doesn't work

That being said it is up to you and you aren't allowed to provide service request numbers as it is easy to get private info from since people just have to say 're number and the agent would say hello Mr whatever

I suggest you don't useshaddy sites like 7sins since it is actually a commonly used template and noone reads the end that disvows the template

 

Also what the 7sins doesn't tell you is that even if you got a forced name change which only occurs during terms of use violations

Is that you don't get to pick your name and still have to pay for it as you are given a randomized name

 

It just never ends. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft took action against users attempting this. You're not being harassed. As stated...you're following a tutorial from a modding site dude. Just so you're aware...you're attempting to commit social engineering
which can result in a permanently suspended account.

I don't know what the 7sins nor "useshaddy" is. And the Xbox representative I spoke to told me to put the service number in the subject. He was also the one who gave me the link to this page and informed me that harassment is a viable violation. Also if
you play Xbox Live you know that you can't choose who you play with on large servers and cutting myself off from the rest of the community would null half of the services I pay for. As for the randomization; it would be better than it is now, but wouldn't
be preferable. In fact if that really is the case or if my plea goes unheard I will cancel my Xbox live and never look back.

Sorry to say but any other console doesn't allow you to change your name even paid

 

Actually they probably told you to post in another forums but due to the nature of the forums you probably thought otherwise due to the template

As far as force name changes the customer service would tell you to goto the account suspension forums as pet team is the only ones that issues it

However due to the template which told you to call customer support in the first place was wrong and known widely as fake

Would only get your post denied due to that forums being moderated and there is no free name chcanges just fake templates

 

If they sent you here by name rather then you rerouting then think about it

Customer support has the same powers as forum support which ironically they don't why Didnt they do it

I contacted costumer support for an unrelated matter. But brought up the gamer tag issue because of the default name it brought up in the chat. I have no idea what templet y'all are talking about, but people who post on forums shouldn't antagonize others
instead of providing actually helpful feedback. The representative sent me "Thanks for waiting. Please click on the link below. Sign in your xbox email
[Mod Removed]. Click Add a new post, then it will switch you to the next screen. In the subject line, type: Gamertag change with service request number
[Mod Removed]. Then on the body of the message, detail the reasons why you weren't able to change it within 30 days of creating your gamertag, as well as emphasize the harassments and abuses that you received from other gamers." Then said that
Microsoft representatives would review my case within 24 hours. He never mentioned that whiney people would accuse me of something that I don't even know what they are talking about.

 

We aren't antagonizing you at all. We're trying to help you not use tutorials from modding websites. This isn't our first rodeo my friend. We aren't whining at all by informing you of the social engineering you're attempting.

First block the said people

Set contacts to friends only if people are the issue then maybe you should think about your safety
