Gamertag Change (Special Request)

Hello 'Mister Team' (may I call you that?),

I've been trying extremely hard over the past week (hourly.), trying to acquire a gamertag for a special occasion. I've had little luck, though the support team has been tremendous in keeping me motivated. My latest chat with Support recommended that I make
a post here in my desperate attempt to "escalate" my request, given its nature. I know it's a shot in the dark, but I'll take any chance I get.

I'm not even sure there's a way, but if someone could reach out to me privately to discuss this matter, I'd be extremely appreciative. I have all the information needed to justify the nature of my request and it's validity (that Support cannot help and that
it's not related to the gamertag release thread). I will continue trying any other ways I can. If you have access to my contact information associated with my account, please reach out to me at any time, day or night.

If there's any other parties or ways to reach out, please let me know. And, if I'm in the wrong place or nothing can be done, then thank you for your time in reading my request.

forced name changes only occur if the enforcement team deems your tag offensive. As yours does not you will need to pay the 800 MS points like everyone else to change it. If you are being harassed, I suggest reading the following thread to assist.

Block comms & report anyone sending abusive messages via your console.

If you have already set comms to friends only then you wouldn't receive any more messages from people not on your friends list.

 

If you're trying to get a gamertag that says it's in use, then there is nothing that can be done. There is no way to request a gamertag.

 

I understand; however, the gamertag isn't associated with any account currently and I have the means to confirm this (I've been at this for a LONG time). Thank you for your reply, I remain hopeful and resolute, even if nothing can be done!

 

No there is nothing that can be done

If you are looking for a specific name

Keep in mind that names like is the same as ngoc phi

It is designed that way to reduce the confusion when looking for names

This means that if you search for ngoc phi it wouldn't show up as an account

But when you try for ngoc phi or any other variation it will say it's used

I think that's where you are confusing if the name is used or not

Support cannot check every variation of the name

To check you must try and grab the name but if it says it's taken it's taken just in a different variation then what you have

 

No one can check every variation especially for longer names as there are infinite possibilities

 

Gamertag aren't a on demand service you will just have to keep trying

 

Or if you are unlucky it's on the banned name list which means it's I possible to get

 

None of these posts relate to my situation in particular, which I suppose is a good thing. It's not intended to be a request for an on-demand service, I hope it doesn't come across as such (though if it comes across as desperate, it's because I am)!

I've checked every variation personally and it's definitely not banned.

And no there is no way to check every variation

You are talking about thousandss of combinations depending on the amount of letters

As mentioned above there are many more variations then you know about

If you type it won't show up either

Guess what I exist just not in that variation

 

Banned words can include names that are implication for violations of the terms of use

So saying it's not banned doesn't mean anything without knowing the exact name

I bet I can find an variation ambassadors are good at finding them

 

As mentioned if the system says it's taken it is taken there exists no its or buts about it

 

FYI copyrighted names are also on the banned words list

So if you are looking for a famous singer forget it

 

And FYI you can't search all the names

Because windows phone nor zone or Windows are interconnected on friends searxh

But the gamertag database is

Just be more creative with the name
