Gamertag change request: Loa Sunsky to Loa SunSky

I was directed here through support to request the minor name change. I would've been fine spending $9.99 to make that minor change. However, I already have the name in use and it wouldn't allow me to change it. I would have to change my name completely
(spending $9.99) and then back to my original Gamertag with the correction, which I would have to pay an extra $9.99. All I want is a capitalization correction in the letter S on the word Sky in my Gamertag.

I had the same damn problem, I uninstalled the LOA Reckoning demo and it fixed the problem, might work for you.

 

Having Netflix issues and I think I know why, but I just can't seem to fix it.

Same here for me except I see the error before NetFlix loads. Also noticed IE wont loa Soundcloud for HuntTheTruth saying browser is outdated. Not sure if related

 

Sorry but support have given you the wrong imformation.The only way to do what you want is by the way you have posted,you can't request a gamertag change & you wont get a change for free,you would have to pay twice.

 

Thank you for the reply. It's rather unfortunate that I was given the wrong information and would have to pay twice. I would really like to fix the capitalization in my name, but not at that expense (paying twice). Appreciate the help, although this has
bummed me out.

 

It is sadly something support seem to be doing more and more often.

Why they send people to the forum for support they know isn't available here is anyone's guess. And if they don't know the forum doesn't offer that service then why are those people working in support, though to be fair it is more Microsoft's fault than
there's.

 

Actually, this community has been "support" for this brand for a long time now due in part to members like yourself. Gamers need help, they come here and usually get it. Just like the OP

 

Not really, people who get redirected here are usually told by us that it isn't possible. Not really being support, just being the bringer of bad news. Or rather the distraction that made it possible to cut the phone call short.

 

Well, he got his question answered. I found this community (especially the A/V Forums back in the day) to be quite helpful.

 

Thanks everyone for the replies. I wish I was able to get it changed, but I'll stick with it since it seems like there's no hope to fixing it. I do wish, however, they could implement name changes for free, IF it's just capitalizing a letter or two or putting
some in lowercase. Maybe that's just me, though.
