Gamertag change question

Hi, I want to change my gamertag, but is not really changing it, I just want to put it all in lowercase aside from the first letter. I know this is done with the "gamertag change" option, but if I try to make a new account with my gamertag in lowercase,
it says is in use, so I was wondering, if I try to change it, it would say the same. I don't want to waste my money or paying twice to changing it to something different and then changing it back.

Is it at all possible to change my gamertag from to ? Obviously it is considered the same gamertag and therefore it says 'gamertag already exist' if I try to change it. However, since I own the gamertag and all I want to do is
capitalize the B and W, is there any possible way I can do so?

It's a Glitch either just give it some time or try to Recover (Download) your Profile again.

 

hmm gt are not case sensitive so if you want to get the desired gt you would need to pay for 2 changes.. one to something different to your current gt.. then the one that you want hope this helps.

 

actually the system does not recognize the difference between caps and no caps space and no spaces so SYLAR, Sylar, and sylar are considered the same tag so if you tried to change it to one of those variations the system would not let you cause you are changing
it to a tag with the same letters.

 

because if I do lowercase letters on searching my gamertag it comes up with my own. so sadly no. (even though I search with out the number at the end it comes up with another person that only has 40 Gpoints)

 

To clarify better the question....

First davemcfly85 already clear your doubt if you put Sylar, SYLAR or sylar for the system is the same gametag and don´t make the change!!!

Whif the changes did because Xbox One you have only two options...

1. you can share your real name for parents and close friends find you; (if you didn´t put that, go to your account control and change there), doing that costs Zero, nada, niente, U$$ 0, has no adicional cost and you can chose the way you can share that
in xbox.com or Xbox One (in 360 that option don´t work well to day...).

2. You will pay a gametag change and put a simbol (not a ofensive one please!) in the front of your "new name" like that - Sylar -, or *sylar* , doing that the system will acept like a new name

I guess I'll just keep my gt as it is. I don't want to pay for the 2 changes, and its not really that important.
