Gamertag change not working

Hello all,

So I just changed my gamertag on the xbox one, I paid for it and went back to the home screen. And apparently nothing has changed while I did receive an email to thank me for my purchase.

Can someone help me out here.

And if you had read the terms of use lately you would know that if you want a customize name again you have to pay for it or accept the generic happy name you are given

Then why was I given multiple free changes every time I got a forced change?

Yeah I had some stupid gamertags, but that was years ago. I dont understand why I need to pay for it this time when I didnt the others. I literally want to change it to 'Old Snaek', Hardly a violation.

I created the account I have now 9 years ago & was given a random tag then.I changed it to the one I have now for free,that was my one free change.

The same thing has happened to you.You have had your one free name change already.

Try removing your profile from the console and then reload it to see if that helps. Let us know. Good Luck!!

Already tried that. Unfortunately did not help...

Hear people say it takes some time. But I'm not so sure

If it has been a couple days and still has not changed you will need to contact support via chat or phone
support.xbox.com/contact-us

Did contact them via chat. But still nothing changed... really weird

At this point you need to request that they refund your payment as your GT has not changed.

takes into account the bj at the end, as those two letters have been used a lot in tags to represent another type of thing and it was abused so much, as Xbox is global it has to take into account all different references and if it deems it inappropriate then that's it.
