    Gamertag change not taking effect


    Yesterday at about 9:00 pm I changed my gamertag and the change still hasn't taken effect. This time I paid the 10 dollars (I had already used up my free change). I already tried deleting and recovering my account. Please help, thanks

    Gamertag change STILL not taking effect

    If you read the title you probably know what's going on.

    It's been a whole SEVEN days since I completed the transaction to change my gamertag and I'm starting to get a little frustrated. Most changes take 3-5 days, or so I've heard. Not sure what to do now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Gamertag change not taking effect

    Sometimes the change does not take affect right away. Not sure why but it may just be servers needing to update and register your new information. Fortunately other people have gone through this same issue and after a few days or so their gamer tag has updated
    successfully. Give it about 3 days to register the updates and also try a hard reset of you console by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. If the gamertag change hasn't updated after that time contact Xbox Support.
