Gamertag change not occuring

Hopefully someone can help!

I paid to have my gamertag changed back to what it used to be 2 weeks ago. Payment has gone through. I've tried a hard reset. I also tried removing my account from the Xbox One and downloading it again. Still no luck. I understand that this sometimes takes
a while, but 2 weeks for a name change?

But It says its in use but when i add it as a friend it is not in use.

Why is this Occuring?

And If there is something Wrong with the Tag can You Lift It?

 

Someone hijacked my account.

Change your WLID and password, and also change your password on EA, since that seems to be the occuring trend right now.

I had a gamertag. I then changed it a few months ago. And now I'm changing it back.

What was your gamertag and what were you changing it to? It should be an instant process, there shouldn't be any delay at all, especially two weeks.

 

I just used checkgamertag.com and its saying that the gamertag that I want it to be is still available, yet I typed in what i want it to be (I remember it saying that at the time it was available still).

Hey there! Yes everything is all good now. Just experienced a bug with the system. Got a refund and did it again

 

im experiencing the same issue. i changed my gamertag a few hours ago but nothing is changed? i tried deleting account from xbox and restarting but it still hasn't changed even though i've been billed for it.

 

Hey mate, you'll need to talk with support and get them to refund you. That's what I did.
