Gamertag Change Login Glitch

Hi,

I was logged into the Xbox app with my alternate account, and was going to change my gamertag, so selected change gamertag, but it brought me to the change gamertag on my main account, and so I changed my gamertag without realizing it was on my main, and not my alternate. I do not know why it would not have been logged into the account i selected change gamertag on (my alternate) or would have me log into the account I wished to change gamertag on. I would like to change my main account back to its original gamertag, but I can't without paying 10 dollars. Is there a way I can contact staff and change my gamertag on my main account back?

Xbox support is unable to change your gamertag, only the owner of the account can do the change, even if you made the gamertag change by mistake, is necessary to do the payment for a second gamertag change

That is not a glitch you need a different character to make a gamertag different

Spaces do not count as a different character

But i cant help xbox glitched i only checked availability and it changed i never wanted to change it in the first place now im forced to pay $10 for a name change

Xbox didn't glitch. Awhile ago when xbox gave the opportunity for same gamertags with a number code after it, everyone had a free gamertag change. Unfourantaly if you want to change it back, you are going to have to pay $10 to change it back.

It's a known glitch that happens every now and then. Unfortunately there is no fix for it except to change your gamertag to something else and then change it back to what you had.
