Gamertag change idea

Ok, so the idea to charge $9.99 ($10.00) just to change your username is just dumb. How about instead of that, you charge us $1.99 ($2.00) to change our usernames, and we wait 3 months to change it again to something else, having the ability to change back
to your old username if someone wishes to. That seems like a good and fair idea.

I need to do this too. Mainly the dingleberries who all got gamertag name changes. I have no idea who "Zombie Killer" is, nor did I ever add them. Apparently never alerting me to a name change.

Nothing, but a hell of a marketing campaign. "How do you change a gamertag? Just do this, and today it's free", while the... other guy... can't change names at all, we are getting a free one.

They do offer a free one upfront, but they also auto assign us our names that are stupid.

I don't think they need to offer it free though, just cool idea, but not required i'm just glad they are giving the names back.

Just to clarify, did you mean that we can have the ability to change the name back to the old one within the 3 month window?

What I would prefer is to keep the price at $10, but once a year, you can change it for free.

 

No I meant that once you change your username again, you have to wait 3 months. After the 3 months, you can change it again. Thanks by the way.
