Gamertag Change Cost

How much does it cost to change your GT? I bought a $10 card and redeemed it, i now have $10.69 because of previous purchases, but i go to change and an error code comes up. I searched the code, the problem is not enough money. Is it glitching or do i not
have enough?

That's the unfortunate thing about where i live (Australia), you cant buy 800msp on it's own. we only sell 1500msp, 2000msp or 3000msp. 1500msp here cost $25.

It cost 800 Microsoft Points to change a gamertag, $10. Change your gamertag of the one you like to something else, and then change the other one to the gamertag you like. $20 investment and your playing on the gamertag you want to play on, and you have the achievements to show off your progression of games.

 

It's $10 to change your tag, but with currency they do charge tax now. So it could be possible you don't have enough to cover tax.

 

once you changed your gamertag,does other games points,games,apps,etc will be reset from the start or just a gamertag will be affected to change.

You are literally one cent away from having enough money. Tax is 7 cents to every dollar. Hope it works out for you mate .

 

Yah it sucks u have to pay to change your name so buy like a 15 or 20 dollar one and also buy something small just because

[/quote] To change your gamer tag it costs $10. I have never heard of anything like there being tax involved in a transaction like this. Even if there was tax involved it would come to a grand total of $10.60 and you have $10.69 , I recommend you calling
Xbox live support.

Guys, the tax is different in different states/counties. There is no single sales tax rate.

 

this is true, it is 8% where I live for tax.
