Gamertag Capitalization

Hi,

Can someone confirm if to change a gamertag and capitalize the first letter, you can change the name twice without problems? I already know that changing it once isn't possible because the system detects it as the same name, but I don't know if it detects
that when you make the change a second time that account has already been used before and blocked.

You would have to change your tag to something else and then change it back in order to capitalize the letter.

I changed my gamertag and had my caps lock stuck and i changed it and i dont if i need to pay $10 more to get the capitalization changed

 

When you change a gamertag, it frees it up for use in the system. So it won't block it for being used before, but the system may not free it up immediately. I've heard anywhere from 24 hours to 45 days. So you may not be able to change it back right away.

 

Capitalization and spaces in gamertags do not make a difference for instance Jos Vls would be the same as josvls

I know that gamertag is case and space insensitive ,It’s simply a cosmetical issue. I don’t know why something as simple as this is so difficult for Microsoft.
