Gamertag Attached to Old Email (Need to Cancel0

Hello, everyone. I'm going to try to explain my situation as thoroughly as I can. Hopefully, someone can help.

Sooooo ... I set my gamertag up using my old Comcast e-mail address about 10 years ago. I have played dozens of games under my gamertag and have lots of gaming stats. About 4 years ago, I let go of Comcast and went to DirecTV. I started using my gmail
email address exclusively at that time. Also around that same time, my sister wanted me to create a profile for her on my Xbox, so I did that using my gmail address. I figured this was OK, seeing as how I was still able to use my Comcast email to sign into
my Xbox. All was right in the world.

Fast forward to May 2015 (right now): I'm trying to sign into my Xbox using my old Comcast email like I used to do, and I've been denied because the e-mail is so old and is no longer valid. No problem. I filled out that form on the verifyme.microsoft.com
site and answered all of their questions. However, Microsoft still cannot verify that I actually owned that old Comcast e-mail. Therefore, I cannot get into my profile to change to my current gmail email. Here's the problem with that: ALL of my gaming
stats are associated with that old e-mail and gamertag. I don't want to create a new profile and gamertag and start over at 0. I've put in waaaaay too many gaming hours.

Sooooo ... I need to know what my options are for recovering my old gamertag and email associated with it, so I can change my information over to my gmail email address.

How to delete an account for good.

You need to make another email/microsoft accounnt, without an attached gamertag, to switch this one onto so the email is freed up to use on your proper gamertag.

Getting new email to gamertag!

My issue:

I've got two emails.

Email 1: The email that my Gamertag is attached to. I made the email specifically for the gamertag a long time ago.

Email 2: The email that I currently use for everything. It has a microsoft account and a gamertag that I didn't make for it due to me signing into xbox.com with it.

What I want:

I need Email 2 to be the account that my Gamertag is attached to so my phone, computer, and xbox are all on the same Email.

Ouch. That's not good at all.

If you cannot access the tag on the console in order to change the email address then I would recommend contacting phone support. Perhaps they may be able to assist you with changing the email address after you're able to prove the account is yours.

Yes for a gamertag they all need to have their own password and email address attached to it. Email addresses are free! Just have to make one. Its no way around not having an email address attached to a gamertag.

Support cannot change the email for you. First you will need to clear up the password issue, after you have the password you can then create a new Microsoft Account out of the email you want attached (if it's not already attached to another gamertag) then
go through the process of changing the MSA to the gamertag on the console. Account.live.com is where you go to reset the password if you know the old email address. If you don't know the exact email address to that gamertag you can call support, but they can
only provide it if you know all the account information to prove ownership.

I was going to make a new thread regarding this issue but noticed I had posted before. Here is still elaborate more:

Hi,

I will try make this spas short and as simple to understand as possible, as it may get complicated.

the Email address that is currently attached to this Gamertag, , used to be attached to a different gamertag a long time ago. This different Gamertag was one created by accident - it was created when my browser automatically logged me in to Xbox.com
with my email address, before it was attached to this account.

so eventually, this was all sorted out and the email that was accidentally used to create a Gamertag I did not want, is now attached to . Because of this, i am still receiving Xbox Live Rewards emails from the OLD Gamertag and I have no way to fix
it. I have ensured in every possible place that I am signed up to receive emails, rewards emails and Xbox promotional emails. I have checked on my Microsoft account and on the Xbox website.

i have no possible way to log in to the old account as the old accounts email, is now attached to this Gamertag. As such, I can't receive any rewards emails. Is there any way to fix this as it is incredibly annoying and frustrating. I'm not even sure how
the old Xbox account that was created by mistake can even still exist.

Also, for example, I don't even receive emails when I get a reply to my forum posts, despite having the box checked.

Log in with his old account email. Everything should be attached to that. If you are given a new gamertag that means you did not use the email that was used before.

These steps should help.

Simple version. Log In with email that he made his account with. Gamertag/purchases/gold are attached to that email.
