    Gamertag/Account link problems!


    Hi guys!

    I've had my Xbox for ages now, however I haven't been signing into my Microsoft account for a while. Now that I tried, it made a random Gamertag for my account which is nowhere close to what my gamertag actually is. Also because of this (or maybe not) I
    can't see any of my order history - if I wanted to check the invoices etc - there is nothing showing...

    Can anyone help/point me in the right direction as in how to set my Gamertag to be what it is on Xbox and how to see my invoices?

    Hey, trying to link my account but it keeps coming up with "This gamertag does not have any Rock Band data associated with it. Please try again. If you continue to have problems, please read the detailed instructions on the Link to Game page." even though I have played the game? Anyone got this to work? Thanks!

    Ran into an issue with backwards compatible games. (Please Help.)

    Your old gamertag is in the xbox 360 cache you have to go to settings and remove the linked account before you can add the new one. This happened to me 2 when i changed the lame tag microsoft assigned me. Even if you put the correct information and passcodes ot wont download your new gamertag until you remove the old linked account

    Greetings, Rec Kelloggs. Only one Microsoft Account can be associated with a gamertag. Are you 100% sure you're logging in using the correctly email address? If so, how long ago did you change your Microsoft Account email?

    Yes there was 2 gamertags linked to the same account but I managed to fix the problem by creating an entirely new Live account by itself and linking it through the xbox so I am no longer called Rec Kellogs.

    Hey there Owl! Thanks for the info here. One thing I can say about your last question is I find it very hard to keep track of multiple LIVE accounts, especially if you're looking to link Windows 8 phones or tablets. I would suggest, if at all possible, to
    have just one account for everything. Let me know if we can help further with that, thanks!

    As you say that is one thing that has annoyed me is not being able to use my account properly.

    The ID i am posting from is what i made when I set up my xbox but the windows id behind it is around 10 years old.

    So realizing that the above account was USA i set up another windows ID in the UK along with a new gamertag SuperOwl8,

    The idea the agent had really is no good to me since I would loose all my game stats that are connected to my new id. although i did thought i could change which gamertag is linked to which windows id eg if I could connect my new gamertag to my windows id
    but I guess I would have a clash of regions if that was possible.
