Gamertag / account inactive & new gamertag policy

Indeed, it takes a real commitment haha but, if he went through the trouble just to create that account to prevent you from using that particular GT, I believe he could do a sporadic log in on it. :/

What you could try to do, is to report him, but do not sure if this will help you to get that GT. :/ What you could try to do is to test and try to change your GT for that one, if it won't be possible, means that the account still active. :/

Also, the account has been dormant since 2010 as i know he hasn't used the account since then. It was a throw-away.

Very sure of the situation, he didn't like me back then and we no longer have contact. the account was just created to take my name and never used again.

I'm also very sure he wont be logging in every 2 years that would take some real extra commitment haha.

Ok, have you tried asking this person to change the GT on this account.

And also, if this person only log in and then log out, this could maintain his/her account active. If the account still active, there's nothing anyone could do to remove the GT from that account, only this person could do it by changing it. :/

I believe/think there may be a dormant balance on the account. I know for a fact he doesn't use the account for ANYTHING. he has a different account/gt and this was used just to make sure I couldn't get the GT.

Is there anything that can be done about that?
