Firstly there is no way for 2 gamertags to be attached to the same email address and password and secondly no there is no way to merge them into one account.

No one in the forums can issue refunds. Gamertag changes are not refundable.

You can reach out to official support to see if they can do anything by going to http://support.xbox.com/contact-us.

Keep in mind it can take a bit before the new tag will show everywhere.

To preclude certain issues (including impersonation of others), variations of a gamertag that simply have spaces inserted or removed in between characters are considered to be the same gamertag. For instance "Gamertag1" is the same as "Gamerta g1". The
only definitive way to check if a gamertag is available is by attempting to use that gamertag during sign-up or attempting to change to it via the gamertag change process.
